Tammerfest city-festival 14.-17.07.2010
Tammerfest is an urban city festival located in Tampere. For 4 days and 4 nights in July Tammerfest spreads the message of summer, joy, music and festival atmosphere to the whole town. Everything happens in the heart of the city whether it’s in a park, a cruise, a club or on the street. Music flows out from every corner and there is always something going on somewhere.
There is not only one festival area, since during this long weekend the whole city and its people are part of the festival. There are over 20 locations to see and hear music. Daily program will be found from OHJELMA-page later.
Tickets
Tickets to each concert are being sold separately, so you can easily choose where to go and create your own kind of festival.
Tickets to Tammerfest concerts will be on pre-sale starting February 2nd. Tickets can be bought in advance from Lippupalvelu offices nation wide, www.lippupalvelu.fi (abroad also) and tel. +358 600 10 800 (1,30 EUR/min+lnc) and Tiketti, www.tiketti.fi.
If the concert isn’t sold out in advance, you can buy the ticket at entrance of each concert place during the festival.

Accommodation

Near the Tampere downtown is also a camping area in Härmälä (contacts: tel. +358 3 2651355 or harmala(a)lomaliitto.fi)
Agelimits
Agelimits during the festival are the same as the restaurants official age limits. Children under the age of seven are allowed free of charge to the concerts when accompanied by their parents. Some of the concerts at Pakkahuone have agelimit 15 and some 18.
